Installation

  1. As an administrator user, download and install RemoteGateway.msi ...

    RemoteGateway for Windows
    (RemoteGateway.msi)

  2. Run RemoteGateway at least once as the Administrator. The Windows Firewall may block network access to RemoteGateway ...


    Press the "Allow Access" button ...
  3. Installation is now complete.

  4. To make use of RemoteGateway, Apps must first be "Paired" with RemoteGateway. There is a seperate help page on "Pairing", which details this process.


Pairing

Before an App can interact with RemoteGateway it must be paired with it.
  1. If RemoteGateway is running and not blocked by a Firewall, it should initially be visible as "unpaired". You should see something like the following ...

    Tap the "unpaired" RemoteGateway to begin the pairing process.

  2. You will be presented with a screen to indicate that the pairing process has begun ...

  3. On the Windows computer, open the "Manage Paired Devices ..." window ...

  4. Back in the App, tap the "Next" Button. You should see something like the following ...

  5. On the Windows computer, select your device. It should be listed with a status of "Pairing requested" ...

  6. After selecting your device, press the "Approve Pairing" button. You will be presented with a password ...

  7. In the App, enter that password ...

  8. If all goes well, you will be notified of the successful pairing ...

    Press the "Done" button.

  9. The computer where RemoteGateway is running should now be listed as "available" ...

    Select the "available" RemoteGateway to initiate the connection.
